About Us

By: Andy

We’ve eaten a lot of trash over the course of our lives and in the past couple of years, we’ve taken in a bunch of those preachy books and documentaries about corporate farming, obesity and the better ways we could be doing things.  It seems that it's time to figure out what makes sense. We’ve come up with a list of things we’re going to follow up on and hopefully it makes for a tolerable blog.

Kristin works for a large non-profit and enjoys food, but doesn’t go out of her way to make it. Her tastes tend to be geared more towards dipping things and finger foods, but she still enjoys picking her way through the more entrée centered dishes that Andy prefers. Her biggest food weaknesses are gas station nachos, diet soda and all forms of candy.

Andy works for an Alternative high school full time and part time at a bicycle cafe. He loves to cook almost as much as he loves to eat. He really likes cookbooks and spends a lot of time nerding about food. He used to be a college basketball player and has since put on about 30 pounds (which would look a lot worse if he wasn’t 6’10” with huge shoulders.) His food weaknesses are Pizza Hut breadsticks, school lunch and a general lack of ability to not eat everything near him.

Foxy and Jackie are our dogs, both 5 pound toy poodles. Foxy is cuter because she was blessed with better hair and she doesn’t mind letting people cut it. Jackie usually looks like a matted mess because her hair naturally clumps and she gets so skittish when getting a hair cut that she will squirm and if necessary, poop on people, in order to escape. They receive poodle sized portions of nearly everything we make and are completely spoiled.
